ing was born in a country full of tradition and rich in the history of Asian art -      
 China.
Trained in traditional painting and art, Ping’s paintings were exhibited in the 
 most prestigious exhibit galleries in Shanghai.   At the age of just eighteen, her work 
 was exclusively shown at the distinguished Jin An Gallery.  Rave reviews for this 
 exhibition appeared in Shanghai’s top newspapers.  Ping then became a member of 
 The Shanghai Young Artists Organization and continued to exhibit painting and win 
 many awards while also teaching painting through Shanghai’s cultural centers.  At 
 the age of twenty Ping graduated college with a Teaching Degree.


 At the age of twenty-two, Ping left China and moved to Japan.  She spent the next 
 thirteen years in Tokyo, Japan as a successful artist with a large and loyal following.  
 
Her paintings were exhibited throughout Japan’s finest museums including the Tokyo 
 Metropolitan Art Museum
and the Ueno Art Museum. Ping’s top awards include 
 winning The Itchi Mai No Ei Magazine Painting of the Year Award in 1992 for the 
 History Teacher
and the 1997 KLM Dutch Airlines Award for the Tulips.  Ping 
 received a second degree in 1999 from the Kyoritsu Women’s University in 
 International Studies.

 At the age of thirty-four, Ping moved to New York and began studying English at 
 LaGuardia College.  Her first painting in the USA is her award winning painting  
 Welcome Home.  The painting is of a woman, in a NYC setting, contemplating a 
 decision.  This painting one Best-In-Show award from the New Rochelle Art  
 Association.  Ping continues to paint and continues to win many awards.. 

 In 2003 Ping graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a Masters Degree in 
 Studio Arts at the College of New Rochelle.  Many people throughout New York and 
 in Southern Connecticut  now recognize Ping because of her “plein air” style.  

 In 2004 Ping and her family moved from New Rochelle, NY to beautiful Greenwood Lake, NY.  Inspired by the breathtaking views of Greenwood Lake, sitting between two mountains, Ping's local landscape paintings can now be seen on display at her Greenwood Lake Art Studio and at various artistic stores in town.
